Radio Canada: Qui prend mari prend verger
Summary
Josée-Anne Rouleau left her hometown in Quebec 13 years ago to pick cherries in Cawston, British Columbia. Despite not making much money, she found love and settled into a life as an apple grower at her husband's family orchard, Nelsons Fruit Works. Adapting to a new language and lifestyle posed challenges, but she persevered, even pursuing accounting courses online while managing her family and the orchard. Despite occasional feelings of isolation in the small village, Josée-Anne has found fulfillment in her family and fruit production endeavors, even amidst challenges like the recent fires in the region.
